HOW DOES IT WORK?
A specialised device delivers a ionised gas (the plasma) adding a charge just above the skin. A tiny arc of electricity touches the skin causing the skin cells to contract, tightening the skin. The healing process of the skin is stimulated by this action, producing collagen and elastin and the affects of the charge pull the cells together, reducing excess skin.
IS THE TREATMENT PERMANENT?
Yes, 2 treatments are required in most areas for optimum results. Once the treatment is completed, the skin fibres have been shortened and the effects are permanent, however, as with surgery, it doesn’t stop the ageing process, so gradually the skin may lose its elasticity again. Some clients may require further treatments for more stubborn areas.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Immediately after the treatment, the effected area may be red. Around 1-2 days later there may be some swelling. Over the next 7-10 days the dry crusts on the skin should have fallen off. After 3-4 weeks the skin may be pink which gradually blends with the rest of the skin over 2 months.
